Formal assessment

Hi my dd is 5 and a half and is in year 1 at school. Her school would like to put her forward for formal assessment which I am happy about as hopefully it will get her the help she needs but just wondered exactly what it involved?

She is currently seeing a speech and language therapist, is under an occupational therapis is being seen by a paeditition. She has also had various visitors to school since she started last year.

Thanks. That is what I was hoping was the case. Im just pleased it is going to assessment, just hope it then is able to go further and get her the help she needs.
