Currently waiting on a decision from the Family Fund for an electronic communication aid for our non verbal dd2(4.8).
Her makaton is fairly good, although with being very hypermobile she has problems with finger signs but she has a big makaton vocab.
We feel an aid of some type will help her even more especially now she has started MS school.
Have any of you applied to the Family Fund for this, did you get money or a voucher??
And what electronic communication aid and software would you recommend?
Thanks all Smile

I recommend ipad 2 with proloquo
it's great and easy to use
my daughter have used both dynavox communication aid and proloquo

am currently trying to get ipad and proloquo for dd2. It may be possible through your local coucil's communications aids service to get one on loan.

I would recommend TAP TO TALK as it can be used on a tablet or a nintendo ds.
Hope this helps
