Posted a few days ago, that wanted to get ds a pair of tinted reading glasses but couldn't as he'd only just got his last pair of glasses.
Didn't like his current pair of glasses they don't fit his face right and had no end of problems, but had to stick it out until next August.
This evening the metal frame around the lenses has completely sheared, and snapped. DH has tried everything he can to do a temporary repair, can't do anything.
Had to get ds his old glasses that are a) too small for his head and b) are too weak a prescription.
The earliest I can get him to the optician's is Saturday, and experience tells me it will be at least 5 days until a replacement pair will be made.
Argh I wanted to get him a new pair of glasses, but on our timescale, not on this forced timescale.
But going to focus on the good news, can get him the tints added now, and don't have to spend £237 or wait until August for him to have the assistance with his reading!
