Hi all, my name is Jodie and I have a four year old daughter called Ella who has special needs, she is undiagnosed as yet but should hopefully have some more information on the 1st December when we go up to GOSH. She walks with a rollator has a developmental delay. At the moment she is in MS but have an appointment to look at some SS as she is just not coping and feel very guilty for putting her in MS to try i think i have been in denial about how difficult in can be for her I just want to do the best for her and it is so hard to make all the right decisions as Im sure you all know! I also have a lil boy called Alex who is 11 months. Just wanted to say hey really and get to know you xxxx

Hi Jodie. Welcome.

I think you are right in looking at special schools as well as mainstream. Just remember that if you do move her to a special school it doesn't have to be full time -many do joint placements with mainstream. It also doesn't have to be forever.

Hi thank you, yes that is very true, she can't manage a full day at MS at the mo anyway so everything will be slow and not decided on a whim. xXx :)

hi welcome to the board Smile

don't feel guilty, you make the best decision you can at the time, you never know until you try, hindsight is a wonderful thing! My dd3 is 5, she has a genetic syndrome and after 2 years in ms she started a ss in september, it's fab for her but I don't regret at least giving ms a go.

Hi there

I'm more a lurker than a poster in this section, but the help and advise i've had so far has been invaluable.

Hi- welcome- Smile

The whole MS/SS thing is really difficult. I was adamant that DS was going to MS....he didn't.I found a SS that I thought was right for him...I still wonder though....(although I know there is no way he could have coped)Look at as many as you can,as 2 of the SSs I saw would not have been right for DS.
