I was looking at Afasic's website, looking for advice for my dd. I tried joining their parent's forums about a month ago but have had no confirmation since I registered. I also emailed them on their parent helpline which said that they reply within 5 days. It's now been two weeks. Does anyone know if they are an active charity? I was thinking of joining to support them as well as getting support myself, but the lack of any type of response is making me wonder if it is worthwhile.

phone them. I did once and had a lovely lady on the phone.

Sassyfrassy

I would suggest you follow kissingfrogs suggestion and try their telephone helpline.

I have had a look at their online forum, which seems to be going the same way a similar APDUK forum went a year or so ago, to be deleted due to lack of interest, and lack of time to keep on checking when no one has posted each day.

Thanks both of you. I'll give phoning a go, will just have to wait a while for when it's a good time.

I'm sorry to read you haven't had a reply from us but having checked all our incoming messages for the entire month of November I cannot find any incoming message from you. Be that as it may if you would like to email me at [email protected] or call us on 0845 355 55 77 between (10.30am and 2.30pm) we'll do our best advise you.

I have also passed on your comment re registration to the parents forum to our web manager.

We have a Sassyfrass on our userlist and your account was approved on 24/9. However, I notice on here you are a Sassyfrassy so possibly the missing letter has caused your registration difficulties.

Thanks AandS, technology does go wrong at times. I'll give it another go.
