Can LA restrict the amount of continence supplies? Can someone remind me

I have phoned and ordered the next batch of pull ups for DS2 and asked about xmas/new yr orders and deliveries and was told we can only have an order every 8 weeks. I asked what would happen if we needed more and was told that I could contact the school nurse to see if they had any emergency supplies.
I seem to remember a while ago a MN thread about LA not being able to restrict the amount of supplies (e.g only 4 nappies per day), and that David Cameron had agreed with this.

Can someone remind me, so that if they can't restrict the amount of supplies I can inform the LA they are in the wrong, or is it me?
Thanks

if you have a search for mn and edcm you should find the result. PCTs were reminded that they are not supposed to have blanket policies and each case should be based on individual need. I don't think that really covers emergencies though, rather getting provision right in the first place. Here I'd be expected to buy extra myself if I ran out as they don't keep emergency supplies at all.

Thanks, I'll look it up. I don't think my school nurse has any supplies as I have spoken to her about this previously. I'm not sure if its just my borough but I was told they allocate 4 nappies per day, which is not enough for my Ds who has ongoing bowel problems and soiling issues.
