Does anyone use this to download stuff for your children to do at home??

This site is run by a twice convicted paedophile, who gets money (through advertising) every time someone views the site.

So a lot of people choose not to use it.

The article above related to the man who owns Sparklebox. This is the reason most LEAs in the UK have barred the site from being used within their school networks, and why I refuse to use it at all.

I use it! My son is at home 24/7 with social phobia and school phobia. Why shouldn't I use something that is of benefit. By not using the site you are not stopping this guy being a paedophile.

I'm sure there was a post on here a while back about this and apparently the site was supposed to have been taken over by someone else.

Lord, I had no idea about this.

I know, worst of all lots of the schools by me still use it.

I think it is a member of his family who officially runs it now but from what I can gather he is still involved and every time the site is used it gives this convicted man money. For me I make the conscious decision not to support a convicted paedophile and most definitely not contricute to his earnings!

My DS's school recommended it to me last year!
