My DD 10yr (very severe SLI, ) has yet again turned a simple 15 min walk home from school into a total nightmare, this is what happened
me and dd1, dd2, ds2 walking down the road dd1 walks past 2 girls from the local high school stood at the bus stop, the girls were talking between themselves and had no intrest in us walking past, dd1 goes past then i follow ( only a few feet apart ) after we passed them dd1 goes into a screaming hissy fit that theses 2 girls turned and called dd1 a name ( the girls never spoke to her or even turned towards her) we now have arrived home and she is still in meltown kicking off, screaming and carrying on. im like omg!!!! these kids never even spoke to her, so now this has become a major issue, so walking home now is going to be an issue if we walk past anyone, we had to stop using the taxis due to her having a similar screaming hissy fit meltdown over airfreshners in taxis. arghhhhh now what am i going to do to get to and back from school without having the mega meltdown.

sorry but so needed to vent, she had got me so wound up and stressed out within 20mins of her comming out of school.

Sorry to hear you're feeling stressed. Do you think maybe someone at school could be calling her names and she's redirected it?

Oh well, just a thought. Perhaps it was just for attention. I'm sure some more experienced people will be able to offer suggestions. Hope you're feeling better :)
