Specialist Social Worker meeting - what to expect?

Hi,
DS1 (age 6) is in the process of assessment for social communication and some behavioural problems, his SALT thinks he is somewhere on autistic spectrum. We have been seen by Child Development Centre and have been waiting for an appointment with psychology. The psych appointment has now come through, but the inital appointment is for parents only, with a Specialist Social Worker.

I have no idea what this meeting will consist of, or what a Specialist Social Worker does.... can anyone enlighten me? I am rather (probably irrationally) anxious that it has something to do with determining whether DH and I have caused DS's oddities.....

thanks,
cathysten
