We had ours in September, it was carried out by Developmental Paediatrician (who was just operating the video camera, didn't participate) and a SALT, who did all the play stuff with toys etc.
I think perhaps there may be someone else who looks at the video (along with the 2 I've mentioned above) but not sure.
I was present at this, although it's not the norm (no babysitter for DS2, who was present, and it would have upset DS1 if we'd gone out of the room) and it did make interesting, if not rather raw / blunt / gruelling viewing. I was exhausted the next day.
We got the results about 6 or 7 weeks later at a feedback meeting, with DX of Autism. The sheet made the choice of either on the spectrum or ASD, but not Aspergers, and also no distinction was made between ASD or HFA on the ADOS score sheet.
The feedback meeting had several involved professionals invited, Paed, 2 x SALTS, Preschool Home Visitor, Parent to Parent person, Head Teacher, Class Teacher and Keyworker. No one from school came in the end
, which made for a more intimate and perhaps more productive meeting.
I knew the results of ADOS as I had been there, and have read so much on MN and ASD forums that I had no illusions.
