Life can hard, life can be rough
having a child with a disability can be so tough
you have worries like all parents do
But then times it by 50 and add a bit too
how will they cope, which is the right school
will they be subjected to ridicule
will they get ill, lose their skills
how will you remember all their meds and pills
who will care for them to give you a rest
who can look after them when Mum knows best
what will happen when you can?t care
knowing you wont always be there
then you get told to not think ahead
don?t worry about the future everyone said
not possible is it not to worry and care
you give 110% and are always there
How do you cope, you get asked each day
what choice do you have , you have no say
you get up each day and give your all
a parent, a nurse always on call
but the days that are hard and you are sad
cuddle your child and be glad
yes they have their problems , they cause you to cry
but you have the strength in you to get by
you are amazing and you are fantastic too
your child is loved and lucky to have you
