SALT transition - any SALTs around?

I am wondering what would be a good transition from one SALT to another. Should the new SALT observe several sessions, visit in school, talk to TA or is just a meeting with current SALT adequate? I would like to make sure that it is done properly. Also, how much experience of ASD should the new SALt have?

I'd be lucky where I am if they even had a call on the phone, but I don't think you are being unrealistic. It is fair enough too to ask for their qual/ experience in ASD, although it is likely that will come from a senior who supervises.
