Well - what a day for responses....

all relate to....

here

  1. had to see GP just to check dd1 - well our GP tells me the residenct decided to phone her and tell her how busy she is and how much 'work' she had to do that day - don't think it went down well with GP - she just asked how long it would have taken to write a simple script...

  2. Gp reminds me how neither of us have ever heard dd1's chest sound clear - EXCEPT for today [ironic emoticon] however we are keeping her on some form of antibiotic until at least her pre- admission appt and take if from there - Will also use inner health to keep dd1's immune system boosted.....

  3. After sending my letter of questions to the hospital CEO - dh ( who also works at said hospital) was called upstairs to meet with the CEO. I had deliberately left dh off the letter as I did not want to cause a problem for him at work - only been there just over a year.....

Responses:

a. CEO very upset about staff referring to dd1 as 'that down syndrome girl from England' - dh joked he was not sure which offended me more - the down syndrome part or the England part. CEO will be speaking with all staff regarding this....

b. Explained that resident should be the one to write the script ( we assumed that - but why not tell us) but how long would it have taken to write a script and in that case - respiratory physician could have written the script

c. sorry we had such a horrid day

d. At no charge to us - he will see dd1 in his private clinic prior to her surgery to check her all out... he is a respiratory physician

e. He would also like to meet with me to apologise for our bad day

I am satisfied with that response

reckon you'd get that kind of response on the NHS?

not sure - also not sure if we got that response as dh is staff and the boss did say it was terrible that that happened let alone happening to a valuable member of staff!!

I suppose that makes up for it a bit Eidsvold
I reckon you would get that kind of response from the NHS, they are so shit scared of complaints these days.....
