ANYONE IN S.YORKS??

As part of my start up for a special needs/additional needs support group I was wondering if anyone who can get to Meadowhall, Sheffield would like to meet in starbucks/costa coffee??

I can't go anywhere next week (until I have notice of when a family funeral is) but I could meet at Meadowhall the week after that ---- if that's any good?

Im just gathering names at mo but will sort a date in next couple of days. your very welcome to attend :) will probably be the following week (week you can do) then hoping to make it a regular thing ;) where abouts are you in s.yorks? looking for proper building for us. would be rotherham area, near barnsley/doncaster boarder

I'm actually in Leeds but I have a couple of friends in S. Yorkshire

I don't know anyone in Leeds who does this sort of thing (new to the whole SN dx process) and besides, it's Meadowhall! Shopping!

lol theres another lady coming from up your way too so think the meadowhall thing is the attraction hahaha

so far theres 4 of us. looking at possibly weds 19th at around 10:30ish then fortnightly starting tues 1st sept same place and time if your up for that?

theres a forum im a member of called special kids in the uk, sure you could find some local sn parents from there ;)

I live in Rotherham about 5 mins from Meadowhall. My sis is a community worker for Rotherham Council so I can ask her stuff as she supports community group in setting up and funding etc. She's based at Dinnington and covers that wider area but she's always happy to help and generally knows a man that can! As well as my DD having ASD/Dyspraxia/SPD (awaiting diagnosis) she's also going through assessments for her DD so is familiar with a lot of issues. HTH

sazale - chinwag, any advice i can give you with info i have got. got quite a collection of leaflets, brochures, mags now that i bring along.

judeyoga - i need somewhere that can store equipment for the stay and play group im trying to set up too. nowhere seems to have any room for us :(
