chromosome 5p13.2 Imbalance detected

my dd had a chromosome test, it came back with an imbalance. has anyone got a similar result and what does it mean. dd has speech and language problems and learning difficulties. has got a statement this year. another mum had 2 of her children tested theres came back with all there chromosomes ok.

have you had a look on the unique site, there's lots of specific info there?

DD has deletion of chromosome 22 , came up on bloods . That's all i know about it until see Geneticist . She has s and l delay , learning difficulties , sensory issues , challenging behavior and autistic traits amongst other problems x

Iwantto. Oh, what a difficult time. I second Ninja - have a look at unique's
website. They have leaflets for most 'rare' chromosome disorders and an 5p13.2
imbalance would fall under those. Don't hesitate to email them, too. They have been tremendously helpful for us and can get you in touch with other parents.
I don't want to give you false hope, but sometimes their can be gains/deletions that are not clinical and are considered familial variants. Try and get an appointment with the geneticist soon.
