Private Tutoring for children academically behind!

Just wondering if anyone else has paid for extra private lessons if their child was academically behind and what age did they start?

I haven't myself but know quite a few who do. Seems usually to be after the first year of secondary school when it becomes apparent they need a little extra help. I would have thought any time is fine if it's justified.

Yes. Started on ds' 3rd birthday.

Yes. DS started with a tutor when he was 6, he finished with her in May because he has now finished school!
