Yay!!! Another helpful letter from the professionals!!!

Just had a letter from DSs private shrink.

It says ds "showed that the challenging behaviour was self-centred and aggressive towards his Dsis"

Also says that DH and I "completed an Australian Questionnaire for Aspergers and the score from both of us was strongly suggestive of Aspergers as was DSs behaviour in the session"

Finally getting somewhere!!!! Most happy with the latest letter.

I have read lots of threads when people finally get a diagnosis and feel sad. Im still not feeling sad - perhaps this will come when we get a full diagnosis - probably the NHS one as that will be much harder to get I think.

Just wanted to share it with someone. I cant think of anyone to share it with in RL who wont be sceptical or who would understand. [self pity]

I think for a lot of us the diagnosis comes as a relief tbh I know it didn't hit me until later on that the diagnosis wasn't the end it was just the beginning of a lifetime of challenges.
I'm really glad though that you have a professional that is understanding and helpful and sorry that there is no one in RL who would understand.
