Feeling lonely . . . . again!?!?

Haven't been on for a while but my dd2 (4.5)has isolated speech delay(&hypermobility,but managing that),she does not speak at all,just makes a couple of sounds but not very often.Have just been away in caravan on a family site where there were lots of little ones of a similar age to dd,chattering away.Most of the time I deal with it very well but just feeling very isolated,do not know ANYONE with a dc with the same condition.Just someone to share worries with???

Hi chickens. Holidays are often stressful. They seem to point out all the things your DC can't do. My DS's never join in and play with the other children on campsites or holiday cottages, and only one has SN! You're not alone here. If you want to find others with a similar DX, put something about speech delay in the thread title, maybe? There's a support thread in behaviour/development also. HTH
