We had our break up/christmas party for dd1's sn school where she goes to kindy. She got a book from Father Christmas that has to do with counting.....

As we went through counting the spots on the lady beetles back ( how they teach the bee to count) She was saying the numbers... I started at one and then inserted the odd number between 1 and ten and she said the next one!!!

WHen did she learn that?!?!? Wonder if it is my counting the stairs as we climb the 16 stairs to get into the house!!!

She can count!!!!!

Oh and an aside - she walked up to father christmas and got her book so lovely and said thank you and then walked straight back to dh like a big girl. We then found her later climbing onto father christmas' chair - monkey

One proud mummy today!!

Oh eidsvold that's wonderful! I don't think know up to ten properly yet! She did however have us all in fits queuing at the Post Office the other day. There was a woman behind us whose little boy was running riot, she had warned him several times to come back and stand with her. She gave him one last warning and started counting- "1" she shouted.....Amelia finished off "2...3...4....5!" The rest of the queue were in fits of laughter but I don't think the stressed mummy saw the funny side!

Bigs hugs to your girls.
