My very first Friday night thread Grin

I am posting and then lurking as this week I have had an angiogram and diagnosis of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. I'm booked in for a rib removal operation in September so am resting - still!

DH is struggling with the concept of me having major surgery. We are not going to be able to go anywhere on holiday as I wouldn't get insurance. We will try to go to Legoland and stay a night in a Travelodge. I can do lots of sitting down reading while they go on the rides :)

Ds has been going to holiday club this week and spending most of the time by himself but seems to have enjoyed himself.

One revelation has been that we bought him 3 golf lessons through Groupon. He has had the first and was a complete natural Grin Am so pleased for my dyspraxic little boy Grin

Hope you all had a good one :)

Exciting about the job! Is it teaching?

Well done young sign, he's definitely on a leap at the moment!

its with a local service users group, but linked to FE and HE ed, so right up my street and up for job share, so the PGCE could take place too.... altho have to persuade dh it's not gonna be 'too much'. I think student numbers will be down with the other job(s) due to the funding crisis, so I think there will be less work there.... (its all juggling isn't it! Hmm) We are looking at incapacity benefit and DLA (DH gets both, ds gets DLA) and thinking the changes are coming, so how do we 'buffer' our budget... IYKWIM

When these things come up I think they are just meant to be. Go for it and really good luck. I wasn't really looking for a job when a friend mentioned a private school were looking for someone to support a child with suspected ASD. It seemed ideal. I went for it but the child's parents were a bit in denial and chose to move school, but it gave me the impetus to do my TA NVQ.

yeah, sometimes you end up in directions you didn't expect... push the door and see if it opens.... (my faith kinda inclines me that way too.)

I should know by the next Frid night thread whether I have interview....

have a good week! Grin
