my dd is carefully and patiently decorating cakes for a confirmation a church tommorow. this seems to be a diffrent child to the one that wanting to kill herself last week. funny how the school blames me , a few days away from the place , of course she isnt cured but seems to be a diffrent child ????

Dumb question - but have you thought about Home Edding her?

the environment we are sometimes forced to keep our children in has a lot to answer for make daily notes in a diary and you can spout off to the lea /schhol senco ect how fab she was in a more friendly relaxed environment over the holiday without all the pressures from staff and peers, theres other types of school, HE, and part time you could look into , a change of school , loads of options so dont despare do what you KNOW is right for your individual dc shes not an LEA puppet to fit into their little box bless her , glad shes enjoying herself

problem is shes in year 11 sep so its hard to move , the inafective senco has retired so the new senco already works at the school , is lovely and already knows dd and is always polite when I ring. so I feel some hope xx

in year 11 in MS i presume, well that good so you will see after sept what this ones like so there some hope, whats she studying could if she doesnt get on there she go to a different college(if you had to) ive spoken to you before but ive a memory like a sieve whats your ds sen? if things dont work out what about doing the courses after leaving school in adult learning.
I just dont like to think of any teen feeling that desperate, my ds was self harming and so unhappy hes now in SS so different i know but the change made all the difference.

my dd has visual, emotianal and social problems , joint probs and picks up illneses all the time , has been tested blood etc nothing physicaly wrong apart from joints. a bloody social worker came to our house and said she was investigating "faking illness " very tackfully put, I would call it stress induced illness myself !!!. Im taking refusal to assess ,to apeall , I doubt we will win , but want to put the LEA "tossers" through the mill and create as much extra paper work for the barxxxerds as humanly possible , after the way may daughter has been treated and the lies the school has told !!!

You didn't answer whether or not you could HE. Do you know there are online schools, where your child has to log on to his class every day from 9 - 12 and attends school?

hannahsmummsy That could take the presure off your dd if she could learn online at home for her year 11 studies and the pressure off you in fighting the system all the time

BriteSchool is primary and secondary (from age 8 up )

InterHigh - secondary
first college - secondary

Plus of course there are loads and loads of people offering distance courses....

If you choose to HE you have sooooooooo many choices.
