It has been suggested I purchase a Move N Sit cushion of my DS....has anyone got any experiences of using them and if they are any good? Although OT did say to not use when doing handwriting etc which I found strange.

Thanks in advance x

DS uses it all the time at school. It's great.

they are rubber cushions, can be like a wedge or round and flattish filled with air so when you sit on them your core postural muscles have to work to keep you sitting. you can sometimes pick them up in TKMaxx

Think they're what we call wobble cushions. Grin

Yes great for core stability and also for sensory issues to help the child 'feel' the chair, encouraging them to sit stiller.

Considering for my DS too.

DD2 uses one at school and has a gymball at home for a similar reason. It makes it easier for her to concentrate on handwriting and was suggested for it by her OT so not sure yours has said not to use it for that.
