Hi everyone.
I am a father of a teenage lad with an autistic spectrum condition and I am also researching for my PhD at The Tizard Centre, University of Kent.
I am interviewing children and young people about their experiences of inclusive education. To be a participant in my research the child or young person needs to be aged between 7 and 14, have a learning disability and/or an autistic spectrum condition and have been educated in both mainstream and special school.
If your child meets all of these criteria and you think it might be of interest to you and your child, please contact me for more information.
I am currently working with my second participant and it is going very well but I am in desperate need of more participants.
Inclusive education is a hot topic for debate but often the children's views are excluded (especially by academics and professionals) and it is this that I am hoping to change with this research study.
Children, disabled or not, have a right to be heard.
Thanks for your time.

My autistic son has been in mainstream and special school - but would not be able to talk to you himself, I could tell yo my views? Perhaps by email or private message on mumsnet?
