I have been battling with the LEA re statement and special school place and heard a few months ago that ds had a place at the local special school of my choice. I was expecting ds to be part time as he is not due to start reception until September 2012 but I've just spoken with the lovely head who told me he has a full time place! It's been such a fight to get this far I would not have expected to get more than the bare minimum that the LEA could legally get away with. DS is ready to be full time and I'm sure he will really benefit from it - he turns 4 in september.
