Scanning through SN section and have a friend with a DS little girl. Have seen Kaye walkers mentioned, looked at threads, googled etc but need more info, links, pictures please. Is this suitable for little girl DS of about 16 months?
Help please ..

It depends on the child, DD1 had one from about 15 months. Your friend should ask the physio.

jollymum, does your friend have an email address? I'm on a DS-UK mailing list and there are several people on there who have used a Kaye-walker for their children - however they were all well over 2.5 yrs when they got it, and often reluctantly (by the physio) as most children with DS start walking on their own eventually anyway. 16 months seems far too early for a little one with DS to be considering a walker. There are other useful activities to do. I strongly recommend the book 'Gross Motor Skills for Children with Down Syndrome' (have a look on amazon, sorry I'm too rushed to do a link), it's brilliant, full of pictures and sensible, step-by-step ideas and advice.
If your friend would like details of joining the DS-UK mailing list please CAT me.
