my daughter has physical and social problems , I have aspergers syndrome. I found out today that my daughter has been turned down for a stat assesmenmt . none of the girls at school talk to her ,she spends most of the time on her own. she told the gp she wants to throw herself in front of moving traffic and he has reffered her to chams (which the school was supposed to do months ago) I cant face any more patronizing meetings , I am going to appeal but shes in year 10 so time is not on our side. I wish I could take lots of pills and go for a nice long sleep and she would be someone elses responsibility (selish i know and i would never do it)

Also if camhs are being slow to respond you may find PALS helpful - link here:www.pals.nhs.uk/

i know i am a bit late replying t thsi thread but i can associlate with a lot of what has been written hannahsmummsy.. my son is 12 and has just been diagnosed with spina bifida and he has no bowel control and very little bladder control and he has been bullied constantly from school thanks to the behaviour of a few.. at his primary school he was bullied so badly he was physically assulted and there the head teacher refused to accknowldge what was happening we approached the governors in writing and after being dismissed ( which we knew we would be) we took our complaint to the educational authority the head in question has "suddenly" retired.. when son went to secondary school all the little local schools joined one secondary school so did the bullies we worked with the school to stop this but son still hides inside in breaks so he is away from them even to working in the library at lunch.. we put our son into stagecoach the drama academy on saturdays and theyre working on his self esteem and confidence and hei is begninning to be like a new child. its expensive but any drama group be good.. i am now about to go back tot school in my usual charming way after being nice for so long and explain enough is enough sort it or else mode they soon back down if youre persistent hope some of this helpsx
