Tribunal reports: Parents' statement

Any reports for our Tribunal have to be lodged by tomorrow.

I was wondering whether to do a parents' update.I would try and keep this factual but it would, inevitably, trash the school to a certain extent given their failure to implement DS' statement effectively, lack of understanding, poor progress with S&LT programme etc.

So, it would be inflammatory (head is very defensive about her 'wonderful'school and staff) and would also provide evidence of everything that we would question head on at Tribunal.

So is there any point save to make all parties now how much of a mess this has really been?

I can't even get DS1 out of bed today. He is physically exhausted. Now I've got DS2 crying as he doesn't want to go either.

Well, yes I would do one, but try hard to link it to the evidence and to the key points of the case. A rambling parent whinging about her disatisfaction will be treated as such and not taken seriously (however justified).

You are and will be treated as biased, so try to be concise, clear and sensible.

Would that have to be in by the same day as reports or can I file it with the case bundle?

I'm sorry, I've forgotten the detail.

All I know is that there is no formal process for the final 'case statement' but despite that you should do one, summing up the evidence and case so far in light of the LA's responses.

Best get proper advice on this one.
