STARTING A SUPPORT GROUP FOR GDD AND HYPOTONIA

ok ITS A WILD IDEA, BUT ALSO VERY APPARANT THAT THERE ARE NO SUPPORT GROUPS ONLINE FOR GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT DELAY OR HYPOTONIA.

IN THE LAST FEW WEEKS SO MANY HAVE MENTIONED ONE OR BOTH OF THE ABOVE AND AFTER THE APPOINTMENT YESTERDAY REGARDING DYLAN, IT HAS STRUCK ME THAT I MAY NEVER KNOW THE CAUSES.

AFTER A LOT OF THINKING AND ANGRINESS OVER THE PAST 2 YEARS OF WAITING AND RESEARCH I HAVE GOT KNOW WHERE!!!!!!!!

I WOULD NOW LIKE TO PROPOSE THAT SOMETHING IS DONE ABOUT IT, AND I AM GOING TO LOOK AT CHARITIES AND ORGANISATIONS FOR FUNDING TO START A POSITIVE ONLINE SUPPORT GROUP.

IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO GIVE ME FEEDBACK ON THIS IDEA AS OF TO WHETHER YOU THINK IT IS GOOD OR BAD OR OFFER YOUR SUPPORT AND EXPERIENCES IF ANY, IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I AM NOT ON A POWER MISSION, NOR A SYMPATHY TRIP, I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THERE IS NOTHING IN THE WAY OF SUPPORT FOR OTHERS IN THE SAME CIRCUMSTANCES.

I also post on ebay forums and there are people ther with children with hypotonia that might be interested. when we get going i will ask them.

I agree, there is not much info about even on the net really compared with other disabilities. We need support from others that have the same problems. I am just about to fill in the DLA forms (nightmare), i just don't know what to put. they don't make it easy do they?

No they dont, they ask some really difficult questions that i think are sometimes hard to answer, but i suppose you have to answer them to give a clearer picture of the day to day things.

Hi guys, dont know if i would be of any help, but i think its a great idea. I dont really have any time either as ds is so difficult to cope with. He is undignosed atm but has development probs.

Also we know where you hang out!!!!!! like you can get away from it!!!!!!!!! so if you have any ideas, then put them on this thread as keeping a close eye on it!!! All ideas and info is more than welcome..

My brother has agreed to design a website for us and i am also going to talk to a work collegue about hosting the site for us and submitting it to the search engines for free by offering a space on the site with some of his info for webdesign etc...........
