If you are lucky enough to keep your direct payments into adulthood ,you will find that you have to pay for them. which can make a huge difference to income,so you might not be able to afford the help that you desperatley need.

Your direct payments in adulthood are means tested. If your income is only DLA and IB then you won't be expected to make any contributions towards Direct Payments.

Direct payments only look at dd dla care and employment support allow,not family income, she is allowed £124 to live on a week,we have to make a case to say why she can keep the rest of her money ie extra washig etc.

Sorry, I'm having trouble understanding why she should have to make any contributions towards DD. Her DLA will be fully discounted and if she gets ESA it will be below the amount at which contributions kick in. Family income is discounted so unless she has other income she won't be expected to contribute at all.
