DS's application for a special nursery place goes to panel on weds

DS1 has ASD and was diagnosed last novemeber. DH and I have just completed the earlybird course and we are hoping that DS will go to the nursery which has a special needs unit, there are only 6 places and it goes to panel on weds. The SENCO for the nursery is coming to see him at home today.
I'm so nervous!

Thank you! They said it can be up to two weeks before we hear.

I think we'll have to home-ed him if he doesn't get the place as I don't feel the other local nurseries could support him.

Good luck the worst is always the waiting and the fact that your child needs are in someone else's hands and generally the person who makes the final decision may not have even met you child. Other nurseries will be able to apply for extra funding for equipment or 1:1.

That's reassuring Utah. Thankfully we have met a couple of people on the panel and the lady visiting today is on the panel too.
