Ending an ABA Programme because of ABA "Recovery"?

Has anyone successfully completed an ABA programme with their child? That is, had their child get to the point via an ABA programme where he or she could attend mainstream school without support? If so, would you mind sharing how long your ABA programme was in place, how did you know you could terminate the programme?, how you terminated the programme, etc. ... Our son has made great progress but I am wondering if there is any reasonable hope that her programme will ever end and how would we know if it could end????

all I can say is that every child is different, every programme is different with different resources contributing to it so its difficult to give an answer...also it depends how old the child is when started, how verbal, what is the motivation/cooperation level of the child...

I am pleased you are seeing great results with DS.

I agree - if you are seeing good results then that's a huge positive in itself but even if you did find a story such as you describe it would not mean it would happen in your case
