Should've stayed in bed today...

What a morning... and it's not even 10am!!

Actually started last night, DS2 swung his toybox (it's one of those plastic tubs with handles) up to put it on his head (yup, to walk around with it on his head) but instead managed to hit himself right across his nose. So today he is at school with a bruised nose and black eye. Hmm

Then this morning, he had a meltdown while in the living room chair and, while flinging himself backwards mid-meltdown, smacked himself face first into the radiator on the wall right next to the chair. So today he is at school with a bruised nose, black eye, and slightly bloody crusty nose - because while we've cleaned it up 5 times this morning prior to school, he still picks at it, making it bleed again. Hmm

He was uncooperative the entire way to school - wanted us to drive instead of walking, but it was nice weather and we're trying to get him used to the walk. DH ended up carrying him on his shoulders for part of the way, as he laid down and refused to walk, screaming. Hmm

Then we get to school, and they're setting up to take group/class pictures outside... with the gate open... when his usual TA is not there... and he's really incredibly active and OTT today. Spent the whole walk home sick to my stomach and praying they keep a close eye on him.

Some days home-ed seems like such a good option.... I know I can't keep him home all the time, but god I really hate the ongoing worry and paranoia.

oh... AND I accidentally erased his favourite programme (Green Balloon Club) episode of their songs from our Virgin plus box! He doesn't realise it yet, but it's going to trigger a meltdown when he asks to watch it and realises it's not there. It's his current favourite. (I also put it on when he and DS3 are all over the place as it's the one thing they will both sit quietly and watch!) Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! Can't believe Virgin plus doesn't have a "keep" feature or double check to see if you REALLY want to delete something. Was trying to delete something else.

we're having pretty much the same day here; I home ed - so I have all of them being annoying - just told them they should feel free to beat each other to death & escaped to the garden to hang the washing out.

DS had us all up at 4am, I didn't get to sleep until 2am (trying to sort out nursery problem) ... am in a shitty mood. He bounced himself off the bed & landed face down on a wicker basket - 3 inch abrasion over his cheek & chin which he is now picking constantly. His two favourite toys are in time out after being used to whack his sisters. He's refusing (loudly) to get dressed & is bouncing around because he needs a wee & doesn't want to walk to the toilet. He has decided he isn't going to do his ABA session this afternoon. Oh & he wrote m/t/o all over the bathroom wall this morning & drew felt tip zebra stripes all over himself & my 2yo.

2yo has lost her George Pig toy & is wondering around crying 'George lost', I suspect ds has hidden it.

graciousenid oh my! You ARE having the same morning! Although I will admit that the felt tip zebra stripes made me smile.

I think I'm just stressed waiting to find out about his statement (we should be hearing back soon) and other recent things going on, and I'm not rolling with the punches quite as much as usual. I can tell I'm much less tolerant as twice in the last 24 hours I've almost shouted at someone in public that's done the "tut tut" thing, watching us with their judgeypants right up under their armpits and it's literally been all I could do to remain calm and just deal with DS2 and ignore the idiots.
