My ds is in year 7 and PE is humiliating for him. He has poor fine motor control and has impaired balance, but walks. Last PE lesson, he threw a ball back and forth to his TA on the side-lines whilst the class played cricket.
Got meeting coming up on Monday. Surely they can do better than this. ANy ideas, for differentiation or more inclusive initiatives? Have any of your schools used Boccia, for example, I believe the school has it but my ds has never seen it.

Schools have got to make reasonable adjustments so that pupils with a disability can access the curriculum. Google the disability discrimination act/equality act. I'm not surprised that your ds found that experience humiliating. Sad

Thanks for replies. Mumof three have just put forward for my ds primary school that we fund-raise for a boccia kit. DO you know how much they cost. KcOrns, what would be reasonable adjustment, with a game of cricket. Surely they can't just change what they are doing to accomodate my ds.
We can't go on like this though. Physio talked about him going for walks instead of doing PE.
