Hi all,
DS has been assessed as NOT on the Autism spectrum but he has some very definite traits (flapping, social difficulties/immaturity and fixed interests). He also has low muscle tone, delayed development in most areas (although not global), large head and sensory processing disorder.
All of this has lead to me researching chromosome 15 duplications. From what I understand Isodicentric Chromosome 15 is a very rare condition but I was wondering how common the interstitial duplications are.
I feel that an interstitial duplication could explain a lot of DS's problems, even the fact that he presents as being mildly affected.
How likely is this? Are interstitial duplications as rare as Icodicentric ones?
I would really love to hear from anyone who has any experience...
Thanks
