AIT in the north west?

ok, DD is 3 and has a s&l delay/disorder (she is a bit more than a year behind). we have been thinking she shows sings of asd but dev paed doesn't think so (though doesn't want to rule it out either). he rather thinks she has sensory processing issues and difficulties processing auditory input. DD had shedloads of ear infections and glue ear in the first 17 month (we got grommets then) of her life. ear infections started when she was 4 month old. so probably for the first 1.5 years of hear life her hearing was anything but fine.

have been reading quite a bit and keep stumbling across AIT. I know many of you have been to the sound learning centre in london. we are in the north west and I wondered if there are places up here which also offer AIT. does anybody know?

also, anybody here who had AIT for a child with a similar history as my DD? have you seen any improvements?

TIA

There really are very few places in the UK that do it. NAS list the ones they know about - there is one there in Shropshire.

this place do a home based AIT treatment - not quite sure how that works :)

Otherwise you will have to do one of the many other listening programs.....
