Not sure how old your DS is, but would something like this work? One end is a clip to attach to clothes, etc and the other end has an end that velcros so you can velcro it around the dummy loop, but I guess it would go round the chew toy if it wasn't too big.

We have some of these clips so if you wanted, I could take a photo of it velcroed around the biggest thing it'll hold so you can see how big it is?

i ordered a chew toy and necklace to go with it, wish i hadnt bothered as my son said he doesnt like the feel of it and and bitten all his nails instead Smile It was called a Sensachew, found it by googling. The necklace is good, with a safety clasp that pulls necklace apart if they get caught up, it was on the same page as the chew, think the necklace was about £7

The clips are OK but chew toys are heavier than dummies so they drag their clothes down - and are uncomfy if they lie on them.

What I ended up using was a bit of ribbon and a small karabiner clip. The sort that eg Millets sell as keyrings for a couple of quid. Clip the karabiner to the centre back belt loop of the trousers. Cut a bit of ribbon about long enough to reach from the centre back belt loop, up the back, over the shoulder and down to the button at the front of the trousers. Tie a loop in one end of the ribbon and attach to the karabiner. Pass the ribbon up inside the t-shirt, over the right shoulder (if right handed) and out of the neck hole of the t-shirt. Tie the other end of the ribbon to the chew toy so it hangs in front of them.

I think the necklaces are called chewlery. Will take a picture of the clip later and post it up.

Have put a picture of the clip on my profile - it fits round my finger, but, in the second part of the picture I've shown how it's made - it would be very easy to add extra velcro if needed.

However, reading r3dh3d 's post, it seems that it may be limited use...

Well, the down side of the karabiner method is that you tend to forget to unclip it for nappy changes and then wonder why you can't get their trousers down! Grin So if the chew toy is light enough the clip might be better. But for DD1 the chews she favoured were too heavy.
