Hi, just shocked at how expensive this book is. Just wondered if anyone knows where I can pick up a 2nd hand copy?

sleepyhorse, haven't got a copy to give away (using it myself :o). I got my book from winslow much cheaper there than on amazon...I paid (with shipping) about £35. expensive but money well spent IMO. not sure though were to get a cheap 2nd hand version.

Thanks Chocjunkie, is it a really good book then? So what stage are you at with your dc? My ds is nearly 3 and only says about 20 single words (and doesn't pronounce them very well) but also appears to have other issues according to SALT hence she has referred him to a Paedetrician. We now have an appointment to see one next month so very nervous.

excellent book, worth the money but £35 is cheapest I have come across

sleepyhorse, I find the book really useful. very practical and hands on. second also what lisa said - winslow seems to have the best price asaik.
DD is 3.3 and can say quite a lot of words though understanding is far behind and she is only starting to link words. I was sure she shows signs of asd. we saw the dev paed last week and he doesn't really think it is asd (though won't rule it out either). he rather thinks DD has a s&l disorder and sensory processing problems... she is having a block of speech therapy atm. paed wants to wait and see how we get on first (with salt etc). will decide how we proceed after the next meeting in july/august. all rather stressful but at least we are on the ball.

try ebay or winslow. not amazon. check abebooks just in case they are cheaper. check your local library (unlikely but worth a go)
