Ive been on MN SN as DS3 (nearly 2) is un-Dx main problems are severe GDD, microcephaly, sensory issues and severe feeding& speech delays.
DS2 (4yrs) is having some problems too he has common speech problems and also sees SALT and he has a bad eating habit (have also posted on MN about this). He eats anything he shouldnt... weve caught him pulling& eating hair out of mine and the cats brush, chewing on the wooden banister, bed & door, taken stones, glass from the floor, leaves and twigs from the garden out of his mouth to name a few.
We took him to Drs a little while ago who said it didnt sound like PICA as thats a craving to eat a particular non food thing (which I agree) but wasnt really much help and said it was more habit. so have gone back to HV and am waiting for a appointment from their behaviour specialist. He also dribbles alot for a 4 yr old and sometimes we think his behaviour ie very messy when eating meals, wont use knife and fork and general behaviour isnt what an average 4yr olds should be.
Hv kept saying he would grow out of it as its been continual from a very early age but surely at 4yrs it should of stopped?
Could both DS's problems be linked? Or could we be reading between the lines? opinions either way are very much appreciated.
