Can anyone recommend a SEN swimming teacher in SW London?

Our 5yr old DD who has severe delay is mad about swimming, and while we take her the whole time, we think she might benefit from lessons as we don't know how to teach her.

Can anyone recommend a good teacher? Would be very grateful for any recommendations, particularly in Fulham/Hammersmith area.

Thanks a lot

I was extremely surprised to find out that the swimming teacher at my local pool was excellent with DS and managed to teach him to swim.

So perhaps just try your local pool? Private lessons are very different to class ones. We also don't have to pay for a block of lessons, so I knew I could cancel at any time if it wasn't working out.

But explain to the local pool that your DD has SN and you need their best teacher Grin

litdog - ring the council and find out about the closest pool that does lessons for SEN. There is an excellent one in Uxbridge which I can appreciate may be a longer drive (takes me 30 mins each way too) but its a project run by the council and the teachers are volunteers, each has 2 children so although its a group swim kids get lots of 1-2-1 time.

sorry I didnt explain myself well; volunteers meaning they are qualified swimming instructors but volunteering to get the experience with SEN
