I knnow no more at the moment and the holiday will delay things a little, but we should have a draft statement v soon! It's been a long, hard road and we're not at the end of it yes, but at least this decision will help provide some access to support for dd (ADHD inattentive,(non-typical) dyslexia and dyspraxia and some ASD traits) who so desperately needs it! I can relax and enjoy the weekend now!! Smile

Good for you Aero how long did it take you to get to this stage if you don't mind me asking. We are just about to embark on process and will be sending our formal letter requesting assessment stage 4 this weekend. I have got educational pysch report, OT report, SALT report, nursery report and letter from the new headmaster supporting it so am hoping for the best and expecting the worst. My DD is 4 starting P1 in sept with poss ASD but not formally dx as yet.

It's taken me about a year and a half, but we were refused assessment twice in that time. I only appealed the second time. Sent my letter in September as soon as we started back to school as dd is in Y6 and the time is short for her now to sort out a secondary placement. It was refused again and I immediately appealed on grounds of lack of progress, very wide gap between her and her peers and her self-esteem - that on top of the diagnosis she has. They changed their minds and assessed and we got the result today. With all the evidence, it would have been a massive mistake to not statement her and I feel the right decision has been made at last!

Now I just need to worry about getting the statement right and naming the right school.
