As title says really! have been trying to put off potty training as long as I can as my DS has development delay. Had the potty a while just to get him used to it being there. Earlier as I was about to change his nappy I asked if he wanted to use the potty, he then tugs at his trousers!

Then he sits on it and does a tiny wee, stops, then gets up and then sits back down and does another tiny wee and then gets up again obviously proud of his achievement and then gets back on and did a poo! I was gobsmacked!

Dont know whether to carry on and start potty training, as he is a child who will quite happily sit in a dirty/wet nappy! Also doesnt really talk much, so wondering how we get round that, unless I just take him every half hour.

He is 30 months and any advice appreciated!

Well done to your ds, i would carry on as you are 'asking him if he wants to sit on the potty', with dd2 i asked her every hour, eventually he will take himself to the potty (fingers crossed).
