He has a massive egg on his forehead, and was hitting the back of his head as well (all self inflicted). It looks very sore, and if I ask him if it hurts he says "ow" and puts my hand on his head. He's bruised before, but never got a lump.

He seems fine, but apart from being sick is there anything I could test for?

Some of the things you can watch out for are:

Drowsiness
Being difficult to wake from sleep
Confusion
Vomiting
Dizziness
Pupils dilating, or one pupil looking different from the other.

Hope he's OK.

had so many of these!-make sure he isn't unusually drowsy-although difficult at this time of night! I think you are supposed to partially rouse them every three hours for the first 12 hours after the trauma-if they complain and fuss as you try to rouse them-this is a good sign. Just look for anything unusual in their behaviour. If in any doubt get him checked-if only for your peace of mind. It does sound like he is fine x

His eyes never do what they're meant to anyway. I'm sure he;s fine- he's caused enough chaos tonight, and has enough co-ordination to climb on the fridge freezer. Think they're feeding him something at school he was like this the first 2 days of half term, then fine and relaxed until yesterday. Bloody SIB, hate it, one thing that makes me lose my temper.

Oh dear, I hope he is OK. I was wondering how the food was going at school. SIB is just one of the most awful things isn't it? Its so frustrating, pointless, distressing etc. I hope he's OK tomorrow.

I'm in school tomorrow so will have a chat. I can't believe how hard he'll hit his head- he's cracked the stained glass (100 years old) in our front door.

Mind you I feel like bangin my head against the wall- am trying to sort out next week- can't decide whether to drive or take the train (bus journey on way back!)

DS also broke a little pane in our stained glass front door with his fist, obvioulsy they both don't like original features!
