well if you've had 14 years of it then I'm sure you've tried everything so no point me offering anything other than virtual tea and sympathy. Hope today is reasonably relaxing. Do you catch up when he's at respite, or are you that busy doing everything else with house/other kids?

lol TC, you got it....other kids/housework. Doesn't help with him still not at school. He was in at the weekend, so I decided to transfer a load of cd's to itunes.....2 days later and umpteen cd's, itunes developed a problem!! I had to uninstall and now it's not letting me reinstall...............story of my life that!!!

well he would be off about now for Easter anyway (if that's any consolation). yeah it's the most frustrating thing when you reckon you've achieved a negative amount, computers can drain hours sorting them out.

off out now, catch you later x

i had years of no sleep with dd after 12 years of trying everything camhs gave her sleep meds. we tried melatonin tabs etc they didn't work. after a few different makes of melatonin we found the only one that worked was kidnaps melatonin liquid. now i get sleep and i have a dd that's not so grumpy lol

devientenigma · 12/04/2011 08:15

thanks david, one of the dc's is on liquid melatonin, another one controls sleep habits with piriton. Funnily enough it's only me who seems to need sleep in this house. It's only me who doesn't seem to cope at times, today being one of those days.

i had 3 that didn't need sleep ds2 asd ds3 adhd and dd asd and asp amongst other things i had to keep going 24/7 so i know how your feeling....we found out dd didn't produce enough melatonin herself to be able to sleep....on the positive side it's best form of contraception lol....sorry i shouldn't say that

devientenigma · 12/04/2011 11:46

I had this for over 16 years DS has just been put on meds and what a difference he's calmer less moody and falls asleep easier only problem first few nights I was up at 3 am as house was too quiet I think i've subconsciously got used to background noise in my sleep.
