Got my ds in trouble today

i have been emailing school regarding ds sen provision, which I dont beleive is suited to his needs. To top it all last week I got a reply from school basically blaming my son for not attending successmaker as agreed, problem being that he is expected to go in his break time. (which he doesnt want) or to ask teachers to excuse him from lessons to attend, which he has difficulty doing as he is a little self consious about asking and a lot of the time they say No, which makes it worse.
So today I decided that I would write a note to teacher to tell them that he wont be doing p.e as he is attending successmaker and the next day he will be attending during the music lesson and so on for the rest of the week. He got told off by the sen teacher saying that he cant do that, he has to ask the teachers each day to excuse himself....
I cant do right for doing wrong, they moan that he doesnt go and then when I am being proative they dont like it. my ds needs direction and to have things organised for him.why are they making things so difficult for him.
I am getting totally stressed with it all, god knows how my poor ds feels.
Thoughts appreciated....

I don't know what successmaker is but i guess it is some sort of SEN provisin that he has been judged to be in need of. If that's the case why does he need the teacher's permission? That isn't his responsibility to sort out. It's not even yours although I can see why you tried to take it on.

Could he have a card to show teachers explaining that he needs to leave their lesson and why so that he doesn't have to give a verbal explanation? I don't think they should have the option to say no.

Perhaps if he continues to find it difficult to access it you could request a meeting to write an IEP with attending these sessions as a target and then they would have to agree a sensible method by which he can access this provision.
