As you have previously used ESPA Research for urine screening I would like to inform you of some recent changes. It was decided, by the directors of ESPA Research, to split the urine testing and the research parts of the organisation. The reasoning behind this was to give a clearer definition to the role of ESPA Research. So as from 1st April 2011 all urine testing will be done by Analutos Ltd and ESPA Research will only be involved in research. However, monies raised by Analutos will go into the funding of ESPA Research.
Analutos will continue with the existing IAG peptide analysis but will also introduce new analytical screens, not just for Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) but many different conditions. The first of these tests is a combination of the IAG test with biomarkers of gut dysbiosis. This test will check for levels of IAG and also look for levels of indicators for bad bacteria/yeast in the gut. High levels of these bad bacteria/yeast can produce toxic products which, interfere with the body?s normal function. There is also a link between IAG and gut bacteria as it is known that some gut bacteria can produce IAG. If high levels of bad bacteria/yeast are present there are many simple treatments which can restore normal levels. Advice on these treatments can be obtained from your GP/dietician/nutritionist. More tests will be developed by Analutos but they will all have one common theme, they will indicate conditions which can be treated. However, ESPA Research will still look at bio-markers for ASC whether treatment is available or not, in order to gain a better understanding of the condition.
The cost of the new dysbiosis test is £95. However, as you have had a sample done in the past we will offer the test to you for £45(for a limited period of three months) this will include a re-run of your previous sample as well as the analysis of a new sample, so that you can see any change.
