It is great, dont know how we managed before it TBH!

But i need more symbols and my mum has said, find the cd and ill buy it for him.

I cant find it!

Is there a website that sells things like this, can anyone advise me?

TIA

You need Boardmaker probably which is made by Mayer Johnson and can be bought from various educational or SN catalogues. I think I got mine from Howard Johnson, not sure. Its about £300!! Other MNers might think you should look at others, maybe describe to us what the pictures you're already using look like and we can work out which system it is.

PECS do a cd of pictures for about £40.
Check out the web site.

If you want to splash out,go for Writing with Symbols package at about £150 from a fantastic company called www.inclusive.co.uk.

Extremely easy to use (which I do all the time as a salt.)
To make it even easier,I've complied an idiot's guide to it which you are welcome to if you decide to buy it.

(They're fantastic aren't they??)

Oh yes, check out the PECs website, lots of stuff there. I am going to the International Conference in a couple of weeks (with Jimjams and JakB I think). Are you coming mizmiz? We've always used Boardmaker because I think it was the most common a few years ago and just turned out to be "what we used", no reason not to choose another.

I can't davros as I will be abroad until the Saturday.
I am very very disappointed.

I will be hassling you for details afterwards.

However....I must have bored you with the fact that I will be embarking on an MSc in ABA next September??

Davros · 28/10/2005 18:50

You may have mentioned it but you have NOT bored me!

Christie, that is pretty impressive.
I'm going to check it out.

(Once again,I wish I worked with you!)

We have widget bookmaker or something (bit cheaper than writing with symbols) but also have clicker with the meyer johnson symbols (don't ask- a consequence of having a mac then changing schools). The pecs cd is the cheapest way if you don't want to be able to change the name on the symbol etc.

These are Widgit/Writing with Symbols symbols jenk.

You will be able to buy them as detailed below-the basic and cheaper cd from the PECS website or the more expensive and comprehensive one from Inclusive Technology.
