Centre for Autism Practice & the Minds & Hearts Clinic are pleased to announce that Dr Michelle Garnett will also be presenting at the seminar 'Asperger's Syndrome: Current Research & Practice with Professor Tony Attwood & Dr Jacqui Jackson. The seminar will take place on the 12th of May 2011 at Woburn House Conference Centre, Tavistock Square, London. Details are attached.

Dr Garnett is a clinical psychologist, co-founder & Director of the Minds & Hearts Clinic in Queensland, Australia.

Professor Attwood is a leading authority on Asperger's syndrome. He is a clinical psychologist & also co-founder of the Minds and Hearts Clinic. Professor Attwood's publications include Asperger's Syndrome: A guide for parents & professionals; & The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome.

Dr Jackson completed a PhD in 2010 & researched sensory preferences in children with ASD. Dr Jackson & her family were the subject of the acclaimed BBC documentary My Family & Autism; & the BBC drama Magnificent 7 featuring Helena Bonham Carter.

I would dearly love to go but I know I can't afford it however much it costs. Heigh ho.

The only thing i can find on the website says Shefield (not london), and says £85 for parents.

I emailed the Centre as above, got a reply this morning with booking form - it is £200 for professionals, £100 for parents. I am very tempted, will see if I can persuade DH to get a day off.

Thats more than i can afford at the moment! My ds is profoundly deaf and has aspergers. He seems to fall between the two stools so to speak! Confused
