the forms for dd and ds came today.

I know what im going to ask for ds, some games for his new playstation, some clothes because he really really ruins them after a couple of weeks, some money for the front wall to be built so that he can have somewhere safe to play.

But i dont know what to put for dd, she is 18months with GDD,eczema, asthma and various food allergies, obviously i will ask for eczema suits but want to put a few things down as they probably wont grant all of them.

Can you give me some ideas what to ask for dd and also if what im asking for ds is considered ok?

TIA

When my son was ill we got money for a holiday, but I also remember that someone from the family fund came round to help me fill in the forms and advise me. Is there a number that you can ring to see if there is someone in your area that could help?

anniebear · 29/10/2005 07:49

You can ask for money for days out also

We got given quite a lot for this

It meant we could get Family membership at the Zoo!!

lars · 29/10/2005 08:50

I've not heard of this, do you have to be below a certain income to qualify? larsxx

coppertop · 29/10/2005 13:51

Lars - I think you need to have an income of less than £23,000.

I was given £200 to help pay for travel costs for appointments, hospital visits etc. It was useful as we don't have a car and so rely on public transport. Presumably this could also pay for petrol costs for car-owners.

what about OT stuff like trampoline[small one] exercise ball that she can sit on and do exercises..they love it..my ds def did!!...musical instruments...money for classes to take her too.. sensory stuff ..does she like that sort of stuff? whats her mental/ physical age rather than chronological age? age?

jenk1 · 29/10/2005 22:42

i would put her mental age development at about 11-12months so 6 months behind
