Well after meeting the HT at the potential new school, yesterday I met the SENCO/Inclusion manager!!

Wow, she knew exactly what I was talking about, we discussed some strategies that could be used for Dd3 for anxiety levels.
She has a 22 yr old Ds who has AS and she said out story was almost identical to hers.

We talked about transitions and she even offered to go and see Dd3 at her current school. She said she woud take photos of Dd3's new teacher, classroom and classmates, so that she could have it over the hols.

So we are going for it, there is only one place left in year 3 so we are starting the transition straight away, well on Tuesday next week.

I am really hopeful that this will be the right thing for Dd3 all I have to do know is tell her HmmHmm.

Ineedalife, so glad the decision became an easy one to make! I know you agonised about it last week, and I really felt for you. It does sound like a good decision. Hope all goes well. Let us know how it all goes.

zzzz... you are right, I might need a name change. But I might change to "Oh Its not munchausens after all" LOL.

The SENCO actually said that it would be nice for me to have someone else take some of the weight of handling the anxiety's and difficulties. She said that they would take some responsibilty for that.

Ellen... you are right about agonising but having met the SENCO I just know we are doing the right thing. Dd3 will kick off I am sure but we are going to be firm.

The SENCO said that it will be tough in the short term but think of the benefits for the next 3 years, which is what we have to do.

At the moment I can hardly stand being in the school so it can't get any worse for me and I know DD3 will love all the extra stuf they are offering like music tution and choir.

I am sure I will be around a lot over the next month, I am going to need you all to stand behind me and keep me strongGrin.

And if you like you can all come with me when I go to tell the current HT/SENCO where to shove her school!!

Thanx bdaonion, It is a massive step isn't it but I know I can't leave her where she is for another 3 years.

Out of interest, why are you moving your DD??
