Can anyone recommend any books for a parent with Aspergers?

Particular concerns are how to teach my dc the things I struggled to learn, myself - ie social skills, 'reading' people, knowing when and whether they are being bullied.

Also how to cope with the general pressures of life - dc are exhausting in more than a physical way.

Gosh, that's a hard one. You need amberlight, maybe. She has ASD and a 17 year old DS. This board is very quiet. SN children is very busy and although may not seem the write heading, you may get a better response.

springs to mind www.amazon.co.uk/Parenting-Child-Asperger-Syndrome-Strategies/dp/1843101378/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1301088729&sr=1-1

Brenda Boyd wrote this book and was then diagnosed with AS herself.

She also wrote a good book called "Appreciating Asperger's Syndrome" which I found to be very positive.
